Be sure to look at the oil specs for extended drain mileage and be sure to match a filter for the extended drain. A filter with just paper media may not be sufficient as an example.

Recommending oil brands and filters people use ruffles too many egos.

I use an oil good for up to 15k miles or 1 year. My oil filter is nano fiber technology for extended drain intervals.

Thats even better stuff lol. I never got the difference between 100% synthetic and full synthetic. I know 100% is better and i think amsoil and bestline are the only true 100% synthetic on the market. But i could be wrong.
There are a few brands that are 100% full synthetic. There can be some different grades of the base stock . The last I heard, Amsoil gets their high grade base stock from Exxon. what makes Mobile 1 different from Amsoil is the proprietary detergents and additives in the base stock. Amsoil oil can go 25k mileage under the right conditions with Signature Series. Amsoil filters are made by Wix and have a proprietary media in them. I use either Amsoil or Wix filters.
Castrol is great oil. There are some threads about Fram filters and media breakdown ruining engines. I really think Fram got a bad rap on their filters. I think people were running extended drain on paper media filters designed for 3000 miles. Fram actually prints the intended use and mileage on its filters boxes, but people don’t read them and buy cheap. Your filter should be fine.
