Trying to help a friend’s son. He drove his car into a pond. Explorer was pulled out after 30 minutes. Everything was done to clean it up and they got it running. Was fine for awhile but as expected problems started. Now the gas pedal goes out. They replaced gas pedal sensor, TPS, IAC, throttle body. Did relearn and pedal worked but has gone out twice and now won’t accelerate at all. The ECM was clean, no water. Tried cleaning all grounds but nothing. Has codes P2112, P2111,P2004.

I'd start with pulling and examining the (two?) bulk wire connectors near (and on?) the firewall.

It might not hurt to also hook up a scan tool capable of live data and see if the throttle % changes any when the pedal is pushed and released.
