Hello everyone! New here to this forum.
I have a 2004 Ford Explorer and noticed it started to sound like the engine was surging from up to 2RPM, then it would drop. It goes back and forth sometimes. At one point if dropped and died on us. What could this be from ??

Any advice or thoughts would be so appreciated.

Good day, (I'm kinda new to this forum, too), I have a 93 f 150, 5.0 replaced sensors, re flashed computer, ect, still does same thing sometimes, and our 2016 explorer sport 3.5 ecobeast surges a little off idle, I'm thinking maybe it's a Ford thing. But I'll tell you what, when I light the whick on both of them, W.OT. works just fine.😎 Dave

BTW, on the truck, when I tap the gas pedal a little, like the old carbureted trucks, the ldle seams to kicks down some, or, tapping the brake pedal, or put I'll it in gear. (auto trans), Having a full gas tank seams to help, too. D.K.
