I have a 2004 Ford Explorer 4.0L the overdrive light started flashing and the transmission suddenly started shifting erratically high rpm and then slamming into gear, sometime I have to rev the engine to 3000 rpm to get it to accelerate out of drive. he check engine came on I'm getting P0720 output speed sensor circuit. I replaced sensor twice and still having the same issue. I noticed the harness looks corroded and I'm thinking this might be causing the issue. I had a shop tell me just replace the whole transmission for $2200 but I think it may be some kind of electrical problem any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated I dont want to spend that much for something that could be a potentially easy fix. Thanks

Were you able to resolve? My newly "acquired" 2004 EB does the same thing. Doesn't appear to be shifting to high gear (OD). OD light starts flashing with "Check Transmission" error displayed. Thanks for any updates. R/Manny
