New to site and need help resetting emission system not ready status. After replacing both battery connectors a few months ago, I took the explorer in for inspection this week. 3 systems show Not Ready status, and will fail in Texas. Inspection place said I need to drive 100+ miles to see if they will go Active. Local muffler shop confirmed same 3 systems with their scan tool (Catalyst, O2 Sensor and O2 Htr). Drove 100+ miles, including 50+ freeway and no change. Anyone experience this and have remedy?

Thanks in advance!

Ford runs Evap monitor after an 8 hour off soak. Fuel tank between 85-25% and above 40mph. Closes the canister vent, purges the tank to a vacuum and holds vacuum to check for leaks, i.e. small leaks, gross leaks or cap off.

FYI I just found that '06-'10 Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer with the 4.0L have a critical wiring harness flaw. Wire insulation on the main PCM harness will crack and dryrot causing shorts and sensor issues as well as shut down, no start. Parts are NLA and near impossible to repair.
