Couple of questions for the forum. Bought a 2012 Explorer XLT used about a year ago, love the car! However, for reasons unknown the bumper cover on the passenger side over the muffler melted. It was an extremely hot July day, wife was parked somewhere and it melted. Not sure if its a manufacture defect, anyone else have this happen? Anyway, it has to be replaced. My second question is does anyone have any idea how hard it would be to remove and replace the cover myself?
My first quote is for a $1000.00 which seems extremely high as I can get the part I need for about $200.
