Hi. My beautiful 2021 Explorer was flooded 3 weeks ago. I had it towed to a Ford dealership while I awaited the insurance adjuster to arrive. While there, the dealer took a look at the car and advised me it would need a new engine and hybrid converter. The converter was available, but the engine had to be built. Due to the extensive amount of flooding along the coast, the adjuster couldn't take a look at the vehicle for several days, so I went ahead and authorized the dealer to order the parts figuring I would get a jump on everything. As it turns out, the insurance company totaled the care and wrote me a check for the replacement value. The dealer was able to return the converter, but because the engine was built to order, it cannot be returned. Now I'm stuck with a brand new 3.3L crate engine. Anyone have any thoughts on how I might sell it?
