Ford wants $515.00 for two grill-mounted LED strip lights for the Timberline trim. Supposedly they are 2.5x brighter than the high-beam lights, which sounds pretty impressive to me. Pictures I've seen look really sharp, but seriously? $515.00??

Anyone know if there are other options? Thank you.

There are lots of options! Cheaper, probably. Better quality than ‘Offroad’ lights from Ford? Definitely. Be prepared to get what you pay for, but not from Ford. Steer away from eBay and Amazon. Most of that is pure garbage and about the same quality Ford would sell you. KC Lights makes some great quality lights. Vision X also has awesome lights. Baja Designs are great. But, anything from a true lighting company is going to be pricey. They’ll last forever and most have a lifetime warranty if installed properly.

Good luck, and let me know if need some references. I’ve had a ton of experience with lighting from all of these manufacturers…..

@WaterDonkey I went ahead and acquired the Manufacturer off road lights for the Timberline grill and highly recommend. I know they're expensive, but the fitment is flawless and simple. Did it in my driveway in about 5 minutes and I'm NOT mechanically inclined. I bought them from this e-Bay seller and they arrived in less than a week--they are the same manufacturer parts in a Ford box and everything. 2021 Explorer Timberline Ford OEM M-15200K-EGL LED Off Road Grille Lights | eBay

The official Ford accessories page doesn't have them available for me since I live in AZ, so this was about my only option other than one dealership in Pennsylvania which advertises that they carry them.

Two questions: how bright are the lights (2.5x the brightness of the high beams seems like a tall claim) and why doesn't Ford sell those lights in AZ?

Did you have issues with them not working? I installed them exactly as the instructions from ford said but they don't light up and interestingly the fog lights aren't either... I looked through the book at the fuse guide and do not see a separate fuse for the fog and accessory lights just the headlights which seem to be working.

Has anyone installed the Ford LED lighting and want to sell me the blanks that are taken out when doing the install?

I want to modify my existing blanks to fit some amber grill LEDs, but want to have a spare set of blanks in case I don't like the result and want to go back to the OEM grill look.

Thanks,
Nate

Can you tell me what your beam pattern looks like? I installed yesterday and beam seams too concentrated on the ground in front. Below is low beams then with aux lights. Thanks.
