My 99 explorer 4.0 sohc 285000 km is a bit rough.. but i use it exclusively as a snowplow truck on my properry.. the brakes pedal went to the floor this april so i removed the wheels and found the left-rear disc was gone.. worn right off so the pads had nothing to stop their motion.. i replaced the disc and all rear pads...

The pedal still goes the the floor.. there are no leaks and the brake master cylinder is full..

What am i missing?

Thanks
Tim

i have a osb2 analyzer/abs device...Amazon...and used it to activate the abs pump. When it runs the pedal feels firm but as soon.as i start the explorer it goes to mush again..

I will report back

$70 for a new brake master cylinder and another $22 for a bench bleed kit and done

I used a vacuum oil suction pump to drawnew fluid through the system at each wheel and 2 bottles of dot 3.

Theve never been better and only took about 2 hours.

Thanks for the assistance
