What's the better/brighter headlight replacement I could get for a 2014 Explorer with out melting the lens or the plug? I've seen some LED's with the fans on the back but not sure if they're worth it.

If you want quality you are going to pay for it, I personally use Diode Dynamics products. If you read some of the data sheets you'll understand why what they make is the better LED product.
