My ‘07 developed a leak in the braided section coming out of the ABS, Ford no longer offers this line and I can’t find a replacement in the aftermarket. I’d like to repair it myself using a steel line and compression union, does anyone know what size line and fitting and if it’s a double flare or bubble?

Working with aircraft in the Navy, and knowing braided line, you're better just replacing the entire line. Getting in clean and not causing further damage or something that could fail later, might save you time, money and safety. Just a thought.

Do not use compression fittings on brake lines! Not safe /reliable enough. Make double flares and use a union to connect, if you aren't going to replace the entire run of line, end to end. It is 3/16" line, double (inverted 45' angle) flares.

The braided section is designed to allow it to flex, if substituting rigid line then you should put a few (about 3) ~2" coils in the line to provide that. A popular way to make those without a bending tool is just wrap around a jack handle or piece of pipe. CuNi (copper nickel) line is usually easier to work with, as well as more corrosion resistant, though the really cheap grade CuNi with thinner walls, takes more precision to get good flares.

Fitting nuts are 3/8" except at the ABS unit where they are larger, I'd just reuse the ABS nuts as they usually hold up well for reuse, or measure yourself.
