Hello guys I have a 17 explorer sport and I’ve seen some with captain seats. I would love get some in mine climbing thru the back with 2 car seats is going to be a pain. People tell me eBay but what do I look for? Salvage 21 explorer with the seats? Is it the same bolt pattern? Not sure where to look. If anyone has any tips or suggestions and have done this before please I’m all ears. Thanks

I don't have any help, just an opinion. My previous ride was a 2011 Acadia Denali. The only things I miss from that car are the head up display and the 2nd row captains chairs. Other than that it was a complete piece of junk. We had kids around then and the walk through between the second row was incredibly convenient. Good luck with the conversion, post pictures if you do it.

I have an 18 Platinum with Captain seat in front and back….fronts with more functions ( heated, cooled, massage, etc,) than back. The rear seats are nice and I have center console in the back as well.

I would bet these fit your 17 and that’s what I would look for.

I think rear bench was standard, captains were an option.
