Usually, they're solenoids. Relays are mostly under the hood in the fuse panel. There may be a panel in the passenger compartment near the glove box.

All at once? I'd think they'd fail in order of usage (driver, front passenger, etc.). My wife's RAV 's rear doors are a pain to close. I figure that's a result of them never being used by the PO.
