Picked up a new set of Ford oval badges for front and rear. Apparently the rear is just stuck on with but the front has a few screws. Anybody know the best way to get at the screws? Do you remove the housing that hangs on the grille or do you somehow unscrew the screws? Or some other method? Anyone done this? Suprisingly I can't find much on the web about this relative the Explorer but plenty on F150 and other Fords.

Thanks,

Randy in Jax

Yes, I still haven't pulled mine off but I started and appeared that if I use some fishing line to cut the adhesive a bit then it will come right off.

Hoping someone will post the best way to handle the front badge.

I removed the rear badge and you're right about the fishing line. I used a hair dryer to soften up first though. You'll also find 2 pins in the middle of the badge so you won't be able to cut straight through. I used the line all the way around and then gently used a flathead screwdriver.
