Explorer '18- The GPS navigation system seems out of date already and not as effective as Google maps on my phone. I've downloaded the Android Auto app on my phone, but have had much difficulty trying to sync it to the vehicle. The app in the vehicle has disappeared?!? Any ideas? Thanks.

Thought I'd add; Android Auto works fine. My new beef is with Ford's GPS "map update" program. To charge over $100 for new maps when Google & Waze are free seems like a poor decision on Ford's part.

I have found Android Auto will work with only one of the USB ports also, and it disables several of the functions on the display. I have Waze on my phone also, but so far am very happy with the navigation on my 2020 Explorer. My 2014 Taurus nav is the pitts and we never use it. Only the phone nav. in that car.
