Hello everyone, I am a 15 year old and my uncle gifted me and 2003 Ford Explorer 4.6 L and it runs good on idle but when you touch the gas it starts running like shit, and I’ve changed o2 sensors and put some sea foam in the gas because it sat for 2 years. Well it was throwing codes on my obd 2 reader for a recirculating sensor a which is my egr sensor
So I started cleaning out my egr valve and put it back on and it’s running good on idle but as soon as you touch the gas it just starts running like shit. Can I please get some better insite on the explorer my grandpa only knows so much about newer cars. Can I please get some help?!

I would remove as much of the old gas as possible, chenge the fuel filter, and use new gas with the seafoam at double strength - a gallon or so the start with. Start her up and get the new fuel into the system. Hopefully this will help.

I would also change the fuel filter again after a tank or two. Just my opinion. Good luck, and pls post results.
