Headlights won't turn off

3812 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  nstine222
I have a 1999 Explorer sport.....SOHC.....4 wheel drive.....6 cyl.

Got in the vehicle to go fishing, drove to lake......turned off key and light switch......lights stayed on. Would not go off.

It might have something to do with the rearview mirror delay switch. It feels loose when sliding back and forth. The green light on the mirror stays on as well as the headlights.

I have the battery disconnected right now.

Please help.

How's the issue? Hope its just the headlight switch connection problem. Did you figured it out already?
Try the controls on rear view mirror might be set on a delay switch.
