Hello everyone! I'm new here and need help. I have a 2004 Explorer XLT 4.0 4x4 and a 2006 Explorer Limited 4.0 4x4. They both have the 5r55s transmission. Can I put the 04 5r55s in my 06 and make it work?

Probably, but the bell housing will be the determining factor and they might be different. Lots and lots of careful measuring are in your future.
