So I have a 2010 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition 4X4 with struts all the way around. I bought brand new front struts and recently bought a leveling lift kit for it. It’s a 2.5 inch lift for the front and a 1.5 inch lift in the rear. They’re strut spacers. I put the driver front in with the new strut and spacer and has everything back together. All I had to do was get the upper ball joint to the knuckle and it had way too much room. I work in a shop and was doing them on my own time. I had the vehicle up on a lift with a standing jack under the LCA to lift it up so the ball joint could connect. I lowered until the vehicle was starting to come off the lift and there was still about 3-4 inches of room between the ball joint and the knuckle. Even while prying down the UCA and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas that’ll help? Or should I just take it to a shop to save my time?
