New ... with 2016 Explorer

Hello ! Ordered 2016 Silver Explorer LT with tan leather with the options I wanted delivered Jan 2016. Couldn't find an LT with silver/tan leather anywhere. Best vehicle I could find to transport dogs and luggage. I'm here looking into extended factory warranties, I only have 12,500 miles now but keep my vehicles nice and for a long time. I've heard that with all the electronics I should get warranty, I've also heard that prices vary wildly from dealer to dealer. Any advice on best place and price appreciated. I'm in VA but heard it doesn't matter what dealer or state it's purchased from - is that true ? Thanks in advance. Hope to learn much from everyone in the future.
