I have a 2017 Platinum, with Sync 3. I keep the Sync updated to the latest version, everything is ok.

It came with pretty outdated maps, I live in a development which was made in 2014 and there's no trace of it. But what is worse is that I can't find a way to update the maps, the ones I see online are on a SD card and can only be used with models up to 2016.

So now I'm stuck with 5 years old maps, which (most annoyingly) don't show where I live. How can I update?

I was just going to update my 2014 limited, but that's what I was afraid of, that the maps wouldn't really be up to date. I don't care locally because I wouldn't get too far lost, but I travel to other states where I could get really lost. I guess I still have the MapQuest on my phone but I like setting the Navi verbally with the push of a button in case there's a detour or big traffic. Can't play with your phone while driving.
