Has anyone changed out their factory antenna for a sharkfin type? My 2014 explorer has a different type of connection under the cover than the shark accepts-at least the ones I'm seeing online.
Want to avoid unscrewing my stick type antenna every time I back into my short garage!
Thanks.
Joanie, I had the same problem with the stick antenna, everytime I would exit or enter the garage the antenna would hit. So I looked for an alternative and came across the STUBBY which is on Amazon. I bought the three inch one and it works perfectly. I have a 2018 Explorer and an older garage. They also carry the two inch Stubby to. It was super easy to replace it. I think that would solve all of you problems. Not to mention there is no interference of the radio...
So late with this-wanted to say thank you. We did get the antenna you recommended and it's the perfect solution!
