Hi, I have a 2014 Sport. It’s my only Ford. I found this part lying on the ground by my Explorer.
The numbers inside it are: 53 then below are F 776F >NR<

That is exactly what I was thinking about locating the part. However, I’m not having any luck. The chrome plastic cover where the key enters the handle area fell off. The lock cylinder followed. Could it be in this area of the door handle?

I found that the rubber cover fits on top of the front shock absorber on the passenger side under the hood.

Looks like a door grommet.

Ding ding ding! I just was cleaning the door jamb in the left rear door on my 2014 Explorer Limited. The inside rubber gasket was hanging and I had to get one of those little grommets put in by my local auto seat/trim repair guy. He always has what I need. Did a beautiful job on my inside door"leather" that had been split along a seam last month. He's an artist as far as I'm concerned. And a very nice man
