I'm looking to purchase a 2020 Ford explorer rear wheel drive. The vehicle does not have a tow package and from what I read, to tow up to the 5,000 pounds you need the stage 3 tow package.
Research told me that the stage 3 tow package includes a tow hitch, wiring and oiler cooler. Is this accurate? I called Ford and they don't sell this package and claimed it only comes with the vehicle from the factory.
What can I do to make a Ford explorer that doesn't have the tow package the equipped to tow 5, 000lbs?
